QS – Report on 2011 Outlook for 2012
Around 36,600 regular audits were conducted in 2011,
29,655 of them in the supply chain meat and meat products.
An average 80 percent of scheme participants were rated
„very good“ in the audit process and were assigned the
status I. Approval was refused in 675 cases. The problems
encountered included implementation of feed monitoring,
implementation and documentation of self-assessments or
temperature recording in the food retail. Among other things,
the condition of stall fittings and facilities in the farming
sector were the cause of complaints. This criterion was rated
as a C or a D in 12 percent of the total 10,779 audits in the pig
farming segment.
