- Establish quality assurance internationally at a comparably high level
- Clear product identity from the producer to the shop
On the occasion of the Fruit Logistica 2020 in Berlin, QS Qualität und Sicherheit GmbH announced to further expand the international supplier network for QS goods. This creates quality assurance and reliability at a comparably high level. To this end, the controls for the traceability of QS certified goods are also being further developed. The identity of the goods is reliably ensured at all stages.
In order to expand the international network of fruit and vegetable suppliers for the QS partners in German food retailing, QS is gradually and consistently expanding the network. Especially in Spain and Italy there is a great interest and more and more companies recognize the advantages of the QS scheme. Highly qualified laboratories with QS recognition as well as certification bodies and auditors also guarantee the control of an equivalent quality assurance. QS Managing Director Dr. Hermann-Josef Nienhoff: Now the fact that we have created the necessary structures in Southern Europe is paying off. Our aim is to win over even more suppliers of fruit and vegetables from Southern Europe for QS certification and thus expand the range of QS certified goods.
In this way, we are making a significant contribution to implementing quality assurance at a consistently high level.
Ensuring correct product identity across countries
An essential part of the international approach of QS is to ensure the correct product identity and the doubtless traceability of QS goods. In November 2019, the positive results of an international check showed that the traceability of fruit and vegetables with the QS certification mark is practically guaranteed without interruption. The advertised origin of the goods could be clearly confirmed. In the future, QS will integrate such traceability controls more strongly into the regular audits and thus verify the identity of the goods. This is made possible by the unique, cross-stage approach of the QS inspection system.
QS Qualität und Sicherheit GmbH will be represented at the Fruit Logistica in Berlin from 5 to 7 February 2020 with a newly designed booth in hall 20, booth B-09.
