20 Years QS - The Milestones

Industry breakthrough in networking

On 13 October 2001, QS was founded by six organisations. The collaboration was inspired by the first cases of BSE in Germany. With the same two driving forces then and now, Dr. Hermann-Josef Nienhoff speaks about motivations and perspectives.

Avoiding crises before they emerge

Just like QS, the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) in Berlin was established as a consequence of the BSE crisis. A conversation about political interests, objectifiable facts and how the perception of crises has changed over the past 20 years.
