Due to low water levels and the resulting bottlenecks in the transportation sector, QS has established a temporary exemption: Under certain conditions, feed companies may act as gatekeepers for non-certified road transports to ensure the supply of feed and agricultural raw materials.

Requirements:

• Register the trucking company in the QS database
• Include the carrier in the supplier evaluation
• Sign a quality agreement regarding cleaning and hygiene
• Maintain documentation regarding prior loads and visual inspections
• Obtain a declaration regarding forbidden freights
• Provide proof of release by a loading inspector when transporting forbidden prefreights

The exemption is valid for the time being until December 31, 2026.
